Edit your site by chat

The chat on the left of the editor is how you change anything. Write the change the way you would text it to a designer.

Make a change#

1. 1Open My Sites and press Edit on your site. It opens in the editor.
2. 2Type your change in the chat box, for example: Add our Saturday hours, 9am to 2pm.
3. 3Send it. The files the AI changes appear in the chat as it works.
4. 4Check the preview on the right. Use Desktop view and Mobile view to check both.
5. 5Press Publish when you are happy. Changes are not live until you publish.

Write prompts that work#

• Be specific. "Make the Call Now button green" works better than "make it pop".
• Send one or two changes per message. Send the next one when the first is done.
• Say where: "On the About page, add a paragraph about our 20 years in business".
• Give the exact words when wording matters: "Change the headline to: Fresh bread every morning".

Example prompts#

• Add our Saturday hours.
• Make the button green.
• Make the headline bigger.
• Add a page for catering.
• Add a section with our three most popular services and their prices.

Helpful extras in the chat box#

• Enhance prompt (the sparkle button) rewrites your message into a fuller prompt. Review it, then press "Use Enhanced Prompt" or "Discard".
• Attach file adds photos, videos or PDFs, like a menu or price list. A PDF stays in the AI's memory for 5 messages.
• Voice input lets you speak your change.
• Site language sets the language the AI writes your site in.
• The website coach helps you write your first prompt and answers how-to questions.

How long it takes#

Small edits usually finish within a minute. Press Stop to cancel one. While the AI works, clicking to edit the preview is paused.
